What is a trauma intensive?
A trauma intensive is a focused, short-term treatment experience designed to help you make significant progress in a condensed amount of time. Instead of spreading sessions out over weeks, we spend several hours together across a full day or a full weekend, using evidence-based approaches like EMDR, somatic work, and nervous-system regulation.
Trauma intensives give clients the space to go deeper, stay in the work longer, and move through stuck points without the usual time constraints of weekly therapy. They’re ideal for those wanting accelerated healing, support during a difficult season, or a reset for their mind and body.
These intensives are offered as a cash-pay service, and availability is limited. Many clients choose a weekend format to minimize time off work and create space for rest afterward.
Can you make court recommendations in a custody case?
No. Providing a recommendation to the court on behalf of a parent is out of my scope of practice and something I will not do. If I am subpoenaed to court then I can only speak of the child’s treatment and what is observed during sessions. Appearing in court, communicating with lawyers & ad litems, and writing letters is not a “medical necessity” and is not covered by insurance. Therefore, you have to pay out of pocket for each of these services. Cost are broken down in the Informed Consent
What is intensive in-home family therapy?
Feel like you have little to no control in your own home? Feel like you’ve tried everything you can, but you can’t seem to get the help needed for your child and family. Intensive in-home family therapy is a specialized 3 month treatment program provided by Indigo. There are very few spots open due to the intensity of the program and all families have to go through a lengthy interview process to identify if they would be a good candidate to receive these services. If you are interested in receiving more information on these intensives, please email Katie at Katie@indigocounseling.net for pricing, program details, and requirements for the program.
Do you provide hypnosis for weight loss or smoking cessation?
Yes. However, these are not covered by insurance and are an out of pocket expense. Email for more information regarding cost of hypnosis.
Do you have after-hours availability for crisis situations?
No. This is not a crisis clinic. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room

If you wish to cancel any scheduled appointments, including your first session, that is certainly fine – we just need 24-hours notice in order to cancel without charge, as we have a standard 24-hour cancellation policy.
